The Regency Room takes its name from the house’s founding era, and it shows: carved period furniture, a dark four-poster and a free-standing bath set beneath tall windows looking onto the gardens.
It is East Dene at its most classically handsome — panelled, quiet and dressed in the deep tones the original villa would recognise. A two-night minimum stay applies, as it does across the house.
